Medicines Use Review (MUR)

Your pharmacist can help you get the most from your regular medications

If you receive a number of medicines on prescription, you are entitled to an annual NHS-funded review of how you are taking your medicines. This will involve a ten to fifteen minute chat with your Concord pharmacist in the pharmacy’s private consultation room or you can choose to have this on the phone if you prefer. The pharmacist will explain what your medicines are for, the best times to take them and what side effects may occur. Our pharmacist will check that any over the counter medicines or vitamins that you may take are okay with your prescribed medicines. Most importantly, it is an opportunity for you to ask the pharmacist about any queries you may have regarding your medicines.

We can liaise with your GP to try and ensure that your time is considered appropriately and that your GP practice and Concord Pharmacy minimise duplication but ensure effective follow up and support for those of our patients on more complex regular medications.

We can invite you for a review or if you wish to have a medicines use review just have a word with any of our pharmacy team or complete a consent form.
